| Curb Your Enthusiasm- Seventh Season / 2 Discs 600 Baht Art continues to imitate life to squirm-inducing effect in Curb Your Enthusiasm's seventh season. He convinces the old gang to participate--Jerry, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Jason Alexander, and Michael Richards--but mostly he hopes to win back Cheryl (Cheryl Hines), who longs to play George's ex-wife (Jerry would prefer guest stars Meg Ryan or Elisabeth Shue). Seinfeld fans are in for a treat when George's mother, Mrs. Costanza (Estelle Harris), and neighbor Newman (Wayne Knight) drop by for rehearsals. In the show's boldest move, Richards's taped tirade at a comedy club in 2006, which set the Internet on fire, plays into the season's story arc. When he isn't working on the script with Jerry, Larry hangs out with Leon (J.B. Smoove), tries to find a way to break up with Loretta (Vivica A. Fox), and discovers the benefits of dating a "wheelie" (in David's scenes with Seinfeld, the two often appear on the verge of cracking up). Of course, it wouldn't be Curb if Larry didn't step into a few minefields along the way, including an awkward plumbing problem, an inappropriately bare midriff (not his), a 9-year-old texting buddy (talk about inappropriate!), a dessert war with Ted Danson, a misunderstanding with Mocha Joe, and in a nod to the musical West Side Story, a real-life Officer Krupke. | Helen West Casebook Collection / 2 Discs 600 BahtAward-winning actress Amanda Burton (Silent Witness, The Commander) stars as solicitor and crown prosecutor Helen West in three sophisticated, psychologically gripping feature-length dramas based on the acclaimed suspense novels by Frances Fyfield. Mary Jane and her story form the emotional heart of the series. MJ, as she likes to be known, harbours a dark personal secret: a missing sister of her own. It is her journey to face up to her past that runs through each episode and provides the emotionally charged dénouement of the series. Each episode tackles a very different missing person case which MJ and her team must try and solve. They are in a race against time, since each case often involves people at risk, either from themselves or others. The process of investigation is a key element in their journey to find the missing person and also provides dramatic impetus for the viewer. This includes MJ s psychological profiling of the missing person and also the team s tracking and tracing, which requires the use of all manner of modern technology as well as old fashioned police legwork. Whether it is thirty minutes, or thirty years, when someone goes missing, lives are irrevocably changed. | Messiah Series 5 / 1 Disc 300 Baht"Very well done - moody and murky - Marc Warren is excellent as the troubled Walker. | Doc Martin - Series 4 / 2 Discs 600 BahtDr. Martin Ellingham (Martin Clunes, MEN BEHAVING BADLY) is a surgeon with a difference: he can't sand the sight of blood! You'd think this would force him to reconsider his vocation in life, but no; he's quite content acting as the sole physician of a sleepy Cornish village. But it's his abrasive bedside manner--rather than his haemophobia--that puts him at odds with the eccentric townsfolk and gives rise to many humourously awkward situations. This release contains every episode from the fourth series. | The Royle Family - The Golden Egg Cup / 1 Disc 300 BahtThe Royles return in the feature length special The Golden Egg Cup. | Murderland / 2 Discs 600 BahtRobbie Coltrane (CRACKER) and Sharon Small (THE INSPECTOR LYNLEY MYSTERIES) star in the tense crime drama MURDERLAND. The events surrounding a murder are told from the perspective of the three main protagonists; including the daughter of the victim, for whom the investigation becomes a traumatic obsession. Murderland is an emotional and passionate thriller that tells a traumatic murder story through the eyes of three central characters: Carrie the daughter of the murdered woman, Douglas Hain, the detective in charge of the investigation and Sally the murder victim. | The Kingdom / 1 Disc 300 bahtSet in Saudi Arabia, The Kingdom is a political action thriller with good acting and wonderful visuals. Its so-so script, though, at times meanders aimlessly until a good explosion jolts the viewer's attention back to the screen. Jamie Foxx stars as FBI special agent Ronald Fleury, who leads an elite team into Saudi Arabia to find the terrorists who attacked American employees working in the Middle East. He has been given the unlikely deadline of five days to infiltrate the compound, with just his wit and his crew, which includes forensics expert Janet Mayes (Jennifer Garner), explosives guru Grant Sykes (Chris Cooper), and intelligence analyst Adam Leavitt (Jason Bateman). It's unclear how helpful smarmy U.S. diplomat Damon Schmidt (Jeremy Piven) will be, but Fleury knows enough to surmise that the media-hungry Schmidt might not be completely trustworthy. Foxx and Garner have wonderful screen presence, but it's Bateman and Piven who get the best lines. Director Peter Berg peppers The Kingdom with actors he has worked with in the past. Berg, who guest-starred on Alias opposite Garner, casts Tim McGraw in a small role here. (The country singer also had a co-starring role in Berg's 2004 film Friday Night Lights.) And Kyle Chandler and Minka Kelly--two of Berg's lead actors from the Friday Night Lights television series, , make appearances in The Kingdom. The action sequences he creates are impressive and generate a sense of panic that The Kingdom producer Michael Mann (Miami Vice) undoubtedly applauds. While a tauter script would've rounded out the action nicely, the action in many cases does speak for itself. | Doctor Who - The Complete Series 3 / 6 Discs 1,200 BahtNever underestimate the new Doctor Who. For the back run of series three is as good as anything thats gone before it, with ingenious plotting, the clever layering of elements it casually--nah, crucially--refers to later on, and some quite superb individual episodes. It not only restores any hint of lost faith, it sets the bar even higher. Examples? The stunning single story Blink is extremely clever, genuinely scary and has immense rewatch value. While the equally strong double-header of Human Nature and The Family Of Blood is a two-parter in the traditional Doctor Who way, building up its story in a measured and really effectively creepy way. Then theres the finale. Presenting the Doctor with one of his finest, most ingenious villains makes for quite brilliant television (albeit with a slightly underwhelming concluding episode), as exciting to long-time fans of Doctor Who as it is for the newcomers. And that, ultimately, is the brilliance of Doctor Who. It staggers so many levels of viewer enthusiasm, appeals to an extremely broad age demographic, and woos over fans new and old in a manner that no show currently on television can manage. And while the cliché of hiding behind the sofa may not be as accurate as it once was, Doctor Who season three will undoubtedly leave you gripped to the TV.
| Wallander Series 2 / 2 Discs 600 BahtKenneth Branagh plays Swedish detective Kurt Wallander in three new detective dramas based on the best-selling books by Henning Mankell - an international publishing phenomenon with over 25 million copies sold worldwide. Sidetracked, Firewall and One Step Behind follow Inspector Kurt Wallander as he struggles against a rising tide of violence in the apparently sleepy backwaters in and around Ystad in beautiful Southern Sweden. Baffling crimes and seemingly motiveless murders are investigated by Wallander leading to surprising and shocking discoveries in these compelling films. Includes all three feature-length episodes from second series. | The Invention of Lying / 1 Disc 300 BahtRicky Gervais directs himself in The Invention of Lying, a comedy in which everyone in the world tells the truth except for one misfit in the film industry, who after discovering the act of lying, milks it to become the world's most phenomenal performer. When Gervaiss character realises he doesn't have to always tell the truth, things begin to change with inevitably hilarious results. Matthew Robinson co-directs from his own script that he and Gervais collaborated on. It's no surprise that the British comedian would be able to assemble a superb ensemble of funnymen (and funnywomen) for his directorial debut, but The Office star truly impresses with this list: Jennifer Garner, Rob Lowe, Jonah Hill, and Louis C.K. co-star with John Hodgman, Tina Fey, Christopher Guest, and Jeffrey Tambor rounding out the rest of the cast. | Above suspicion by Lynda La Plante / 1 Disc 300 BahtPolice rookie Anna Travis is assigned to her first homicide case; a string of grisly murders that have gone unsolved for the past eight years. The discovery of a new victim, who doesn't fit the usual profile of prostitute or drug user, causes concern that the killer may be indiscriminately targeting his victims. Eager to prove herself, Travis uncovers a vital piece of evidence linking one man to all the killings. But things get complicated when she finds herself attracted to the prime suspect... | Collision / 2 Discs 600 BahtA devastating road accident is the catalyst for ITV serial COLLISION. Featuring a stellar ensemble cast the high-octane drama tells the epic tale of the survivors, their friends, their family and their colleagues. The multi-layered narrative interweaves the stories of the lives touched by the crash, with the stories of those investigating it. The investigation itself soon exposes a web a disturbing revelations, from Government cover-ups to smuggling and even murder. Douglas Henshall (PRIMEVAL) plays Detective Inspector John Tolin, who takes up the case despite having recently lost his wife in a road accident which left his daughter disabled. As Tolin pieces together the events leading up to the crash we are introduced to its key figures; including a millionaire property dealer, two brothers involved in a dubious deal, a disgruntled son-in-law, a guilty piano teacher, and police officers pursuing a speeding BMW, to name but a few. | Wire In The Blood - Prayer Of The Bone / 1 Disc 300 BahtWIRE IN THE BLOOD's clinical psychiatrist Dr. Tony Hill (Robson Green) heads to the States to investigates an especially grisly case. When a rapist in Texas confesses to murdering his family, Dr. Hill is brought in as a witness, only to find that there are even nastier criminals lurking in the small town's shadows. | Russell Brand - Scandalous - Live At The 02 / 1 Disc 300 BahtControversial tabloid favourite, radio DJ, writer, ladies' man, and now Hollywood star, Russell Brand, goes back to his comedy roots in this live stand-up show. Fresh from his scene-stealing turn as a pretentious rock star in FORGETTING SARAH MARSHALL, Brand brings his unique, often surreal, observational musings to London's O2 arena as part of his 2009 SCANDALOUS tour. | Steve Coogan Live - As Alan Partridge And Other Less Successful Characters / 1 Disc 300 BahtThere comes a time in every man's life when he must end his ten year hiatus from live performance and embark on his 86 date sell out tour. For Steve Coogan that time came in October 2009. Armed with nothing more than a hire car, a Little Chef loyalty card and a support staff of 35, Coogan criss-crossed the nation, reintroducing us to some of his best-loved characters. Paul and Pauline Calf, Tommy Saxondale, Duncan Thickett and, of course, Norwich's favourite son, Alan Gordon Partridge. They're all featured on this show, giving you the chance to enjoy a tour that not only broke even but also broke bladders - it is estimated that over 80 gallons of piddle were released into theatre seats nationally. | Pulling : Series 1&2 / 2 Discs 600 Baht Superbly written, directed and acted, the BAFTA nominated series takes a long, hard look at sex, love, friendship and the loneliness of having too much fun, living in zone three but with zone one aspirations. Includes all the episodes from the show's first and second series. It's wonderfully funny and wonderfully filthy.

| A Bit Of Fry And Laurie - Series 4 / 1 Disc 300 BahtFull of turns of phrase and elaborate wordplay, A Bit of Fry and Laurie was the kind of sophisticated comedy that had been little seen on the BBC for years. With an old-fashioned revue-type atmosphere and oddly 'British' sketches, the delicate innuendoes, coupled with Fry's ability to suggest hidden meanings in everyday phrases, were a winning formula that allowed the pair to conttinue their partnership for almost 10 years. This DVD features every episode from series 4 of the critically acclaimed comedy show. | Agatha Christie's Poirot - Collection 3 / 4 Discs 900 BahtThe Agatha Christie's Poirot - Set 3 DVD contains four discs and covers the entire third series of the hit TV show "Agatha Christie's Poirot". | Island at War / 2 Discs 600 BahtDramatisation of the events surrounding the capture of the Channel Islands during World War II and three of the families that struggle to come to terms with life under a new, dictatorial regime. Review :- Having thorougly enjoyed this on TV I was desperate to obtain on DVD and have not been disappointed when re-watching it. Although it is only a few years since on TV it is interesting to see a few of the actors e.g. Laurence Fox becoming more well known. Scenery was magnificent and the acting made me feel for the islanders during this awful time. Am sure it depicted a good view of what happened on the channel islands during the war. |
