With a six-month tour of duty behind them, the officers and men of the King's Fusiliers Infantry Regiment look forward to an emotional return to their Midlands' headquarters. But while the Company Commander, Major Tom Cadman, has to deal with a military problem which results in his judgement being called into question, Corporal Tony Wilton has pressing worries of his own - will he get back in time to see the birth of his first child?

DISC ONE

1. A MAN'S LIFE
The King's Fusiliers embark on a gruelling rock climbing exercise in Snowdonia. For newcomer Second Lieutenant Kate Butler it is her first chance to prove herself as a leader. When Colonel Fortune's helicopter crashes, the exercise is abandoned and a desperate rescue is mounted.

2. SOMETHING OLD, SOMETHING NEW
On the eve of the regimentary departure to Hong Kong, Paddy Garvey and Nancy Thorpe decide to get married. But as the wedding approaches, Nancy has second thoughts when she suspects Paddy of being an army bully.

3. A TOUCH OF THE SUN
The King's Fusiliers arrive in Hong Kong but its not all sunshine as the men and their families settle in. Joy Wilton's convinced baby Matthew is really sick and becomes jealous when her live-in maid seems to have more success in calming him down. Meanwhile her husband gets off to a bad start with his new Platoon Commander.

4. LIFELINES
Tucker is over the moon when he finds out he's going to be a dad, but his joy is short-lived. Donna is terrified at the prospect of motherhood and when the men go off on manoeuvres she feels completely isolated with her fears. Tucker is devastated when Donna decides to have an abortion.

DISC TWO

5. SAVING FACE
A diplomatic scandal threatens to break when Major Cochrane is charged with the attempted rape of a well-connected Chinese girl. Colonel Dan tries to intervene and contain the situation within army ranks but the young girl's father is determined to let the Chinese authorities deal with the matter.

6. LOST AND FOUND
After a trip to a Hong Kong brothel the lads of the King's Fusiliers bring back to camp more than just fond memories of a good night out. Military policewoman Nancy is brought in to investigate the outbreak of VD and soon discovers that her husband Paddy Garvey and his mates are at the top of the list. Tucker is terrified that Donna will discover that he has a 'dose of the clap' and decides to take the matter into his own hands.

7. FLYING COLOURS
What does the future hold for the King's Fusiliers? Against a backdrop of uncertainty, Sergeant Anderson's big chance of promotion is jeopardised by large-scale theft from the Company stores.

Disc One

1. Shifting Sands
"A" Company are on exercise in New Zealand and what starts as friendly rivalry with the Kiwis threatens to get out of hand.
2. Live Fire
Excitement mounts for the men of "A" Company and especially for Fusilier Vinny Bowles as the day of the exercise with live ammunition draws near.
3. Base Details
The officers are faced with the difficult task of rebuilding the morale of "A" Company as the regiment prepares for the amalgamation and transfer to Germany.

Disc Two

4. Fall Out
Having taken up their new posting in Germany there is inevitable rivalry between the wives and conflict between the men of the amalgamated regiments.
5. Disintegration
The wives of the King's Own Fusiliers need a nursery and it is Marsha Stubbs who takes control of the situation.
6. Hide And Seek
Bernie Roberts is faced with a crisis and her husband must be brought back from exercise.

Disc Three

7. Trouble And Strife
An accusation could tear the Stubbs family apart. For Paddy Garvey life looks rosier. Can Christine help him along the way?
8. Hard Knocks
Lt Kate Butler aims to show she's got what it takes to make the grade.
9. Camouflage
Lt Colonel Nick Hammond is devoted to the army but when he meets the beautiful daughter of a local dignitary he finds his loyalties challenged.

Disc Four

10. Staying Together
Bernie is involved in a road accident and the evidence suggests she may well be the guilty party.
11. Dutch Courage
A visit to the high spots of Amsterdam is an opportunity most young men wouldn't want to miss. But while the boys are away Joy and Sandra are left to resolve a difficult situation.
12. Stand By Me
Major Radley gives Paddy Garvey a chance to prove himself on a key exercise.
13. Learning
Preparations are underway for the regiment's departure to Bosnia.

Disc One;

01. Stormy Weather
After the presentation of Bosnia service medals to the lads, Wilton is disappointed to discover that he has been passed over for promotion and decides, to Joy's horror, to apply for the SAS.

02. Away Games
The lads arrive in Cyprus to start Exercise Lion Sun, as Donna, Marsha and Donna's sister Kelly arrive for their cheap holiday.

03. Damage
The lads take part in a beach landing exercise but, despite careful preparation, there is an accident and Tucker is nearly drowned.

Disc Two;

04. Second Sight
Garvey is still in hospital and the boys are worried when they are told that his sight may or may not return.

05. Over The Top
The lads are overjoyed to learn that the regiment's tour of duty in Germany has been cut short and that they are to return to the UK to carry our ceremonial duties in London and Windsor.

06. Proud Man
A platoon of American soldiers comes to the barracks on an exchange visit, but there is some rivalry between the British and American soldiers.

Disc Three;

07. Further Education
The battalion is now back in the UK, and preparing for two important events - the first guard duty at Windsor Castle, and a D-Day commemoration organised by Jennings.

08. Baby Love
Joy Wilton brings her new baby, Lauren, home from hospital, but she is snatched during a football match at the barracks.

09. Band Of Gold
Disaster is successfully averted when Garvey, Tucker and Farrell follow Voce on his stag night and rescue him from serious embarrassment at the hands of an exotic dancer.

Disc Four;

10. Going Back
Garvey has received his medal at Buckingham Palace and the other lads are fascinated to see that his romance with Sgt Sally Hawkins seems to be progressing.

11. Poles Apart
An NBC (Nuclear Biological Chemical) exercise is underway under the command of Major Voce who is acting CO whilst Lt. Col. Jennings is away.

12. Bombshell
The boys are on exercise at an Army training ground, in the middle of an NCO cadre, while at the married quarters Joy is preparing for a party with the girls.

13. Changing The Ground
As the soldiers assemble at the church for Wilton's funeral, the women express their concerns for Joy, who is determined to read Tony's favourite war poem at the service.
