Auf Wiedersehen Pet is the classic British comic drama that encapsulated the spirit of Britain under Margaret Thatcher in the 1980s. Featuring a great ensemble cast, this four-disc box set follows a likeable bunch of unemployed builders who are forced to start working in Germany as a last option. Led by foreman Dennis (Tim Healy) and the mercurial Oz (Jimmy Nail), the seven strong crew attempt to get by in a foreign country and end up in plenty of scrapes. Auf Wiedersehen Pet - The Complete Series 1 contains the entire first season. On their way to a building site in Dusseldorf--and excited about bier Kellers, frauleins, high wages and no taxes--Dennis (Tim Healy), Neville (Kevin Whately) and Oz (Jimmy Nail) leave Newcastle and meet up with fellow ex-pats Wayne (Gary Holton), Bomber (Pat Roach), Barry (Timothy Spall) and Moxey (Christopher Fairback).
Auf Wiedersehen Pet - The Complete Series 2 presents the entire second season of this classic British comedy series, which encapsulated the spirit of Britain under Margaret Thatcher in the 1980s. Featuring a great ensemble cast, this four-disc box set follows the adventures of everyone's favourite brickies in the episodes: "The Return of the Seven Parts 1 and 2", "Another Country", "Cowboys", "Hasta La Vista", "For Better or Worse" and many more.
The original cast, apart from the late Gary Holton, of the classic comedy drama series is reunited over a decade after the last series. This time, Oz fakes his own funeral to bring the lads back together as he has a business proposal to put to them. What follows are the usual scrapes and skirmishes as the gang set about dismantling the Middlesbrough Transporter bridge and moving it to the middle of the Nevada desert.
In Series Four of Dick Clement and Ian Le Frenais' classic BBC series Auf Wiedersehen Pet, the motley band of brickies are again reunited but this time around the setting is Cuba. Oz (Jimmy Nail), Denis (Tim Healy), Neville (Kevin Whately), Barry (Timothy Spall), Moxey (Christopher Fairbank), Bomber (Pat Roach) and Wyman (Noel Clarke) travel to Havana to drink rum, smoke cigars, dance the rumba and generally cause havoc......
Following a narrow escape from a British Embassy in Africa besieged by rioters, the lads relocate to the Australian Embassy in Laos for their next job. Whilst at work, after all their adventures, one by one the boys start realising theres more to life than being part of their gang - a feeling brought into sharp focus after a letter arrives from Bomber telling them hes swapping his trowel for a settled family life. On successfully completing the job, and sensing this could be the last time theyre all together, the boys make big plans for some rest and relaxation in Thailand. But its not long before events and a familiar enemy conspire against them, and rest and relaxation are a distant memory...
