There comes a time in every man's life when he must end his ten year hiatus from live performance and embark on his 86 date sell out tour. For Steve Coogan that time came in October 2009. Armed with nothing more than a hire car, a Little Chef loyalty card and a support staff of 35, Coogan criss-crossed the nation, reintroducing us to some of his best-loved characters. Paul and Pauline Calf, Tommy Saxondale, Duncan Thickett and, of course, Norwich's favourite son, Alan Gordon Partridge. They're all featured on this show, giving you the chance to enjoy a tour that not only broke even but also broke bladders - it is estimated that over 80 gallons of piddle were released into theatre seats nationally.

The funniest character on TV for 20 years? The inspired creation of a comic genius? The perfect antidote to celebrity-obsessed society? Alan Partridge, the chat show host from hell (or more precisely, Norwich) hit the TV screens with his own series in 1994 - and we still haven`t stopped laughing.
Aiming to "quite literally put the chat amongst the pigeons," Alan took on prime time TV - and lost, badly. As chat show host he is brash, cheesy and uncomprisingly narrow-minded. Faced with crude clown groups, risqu? men`s dance troupes and fashion designers, he is obnoxious and downright rude. As only Partridge can, he humiliates, infuriates, assaults and even kills his guests - but always, ends his show like a true professional... "On that bombshell..."

Since his chat show came to a catastrophic end, Alan Partridge has been rebuilding his career as an early morning DJ on Radio Norwich. With his loyal PA by his side, Alan prepares for his return to celebrity status.

After a couple of years of being clinically fed-up, Alan has `bounced back`. He`s got the third best slot on Radio Norwich, a military-based quiz on cable TV called Skirmish, a 33 year-old girlfriend called Sonja, an autobiography (Bouncing Back) and is only living in a caravan until his new house is finished.
THE TALENTED MR ALAN:- At the petrol station Alan bumps into his old teacher Frank `Sweaty` Raphael (who once canned Alan for having a chalk penis drawn on his blazer) and agrees to do a presentation at his alma mater.
THE COLOUR OF ALAN:- Alan really is on the up. He`s been asked to organise a sales conference for Dante`s of Reading, the Ferrari of the coal effect fire industry. However, following a nasty incident at his local country club `Choristers`, the day of the presentation doesn`t exactly go to plan.
BRAVEALAN:- Alan meets Dan Moody - owner of Planet Kitchen. Both love Directors Bitter, use Lynx deodorant and drive Lexi (plural for Lexus). When Dan asks Alan to present an award at the Norwich Bravery Awards, it seems an invitation to join Norwich`s social elite it beckoning.

Steve Coogan stars as Tommy Saxondale, the world-travelled ex-roadie with anger-management issues and a pest control business in Stevenage in this funny BBC 2 series. Over the seven episodes of Saxondale Series 1, Tommy gets his eyesight improved by a prostitute, almost befriends a celebrity, kneecaps an annoying hippy... and experiments with women's makeup.
You see, Tom Saxondale has been through the rock and roll mill and lived to tell the tale. He plays fast and loose, shoots from the hip, and tells no lies - he's a true maverick.
